B.S. Vanderbilt University Elementary Education 1993

This year is my twentieth year of teaching in Bedford County.  I have had the privilege of teaching all but one of those years at Community.  I taught 3rd grade for two years and 2nd grade for one year.  I have taught 1st grade the rest of my years which is my favorite so far.

I live in Unionville with my husband, Troy, and our three children, Taylor, Erin, and Maddox.  My oldest daughter, Taylor is a 2014 graduate of Community High School and is pursuing nursing at Columbia State.  Erin is a sophomore at Community High School and is a member of the girl's basketball team.  Maddox just turned 5 on September 4th, so he is attending preschool part-time and enjoying time with his papa on the other days.  I feel very blessed to be a part of the community where I have taught for so many years.  I also have the honor of being an assistant basketball coach for the high school girl's basketball team.

I believe that a child's success is dependent upon a partnership between the teacher and the parents. Please feel free to contact me any time the need arises.  I will strive each day to give your child the best I have to offer!
