Educational Links
Starfall opened in September of 2002 as a free public service to motivate children to read with phonics. Their systematic phonics approach, in conjunction with phonemic awareness practice is perfect for preschool, kindergarten, first grade, second grade, special education, homeschool, and English language development (ELD, ELL, ESL). Starfall is an educational alternative to other entertainment choices for children.

Renaissance Home Connect

CES students grades 1st-5th grade use a program called Renaissance Place at school.  This program has a special feature called Renaissance Home Connect, which your child and you can access outside of school from any computer with an Internet connection.  Renaissance Home Connect is fun and easy to use.  It allows the teacher, you and your child to share information about your child's progress in Accelerated Reader and Math Facts in a Flash (if applicable).

You can view RP Home Connect from any computer with an Internet connection using these browsers:

  • Internet Explorer 7.x-9.x
  • Firefox 4.x or later
  • Safari 3.x-5.1

You child's username and password is the same as his/her Renaissance Place (Accelerated Reader) username/password.  Many students have memorized this information.  If they do not know it, please send an e-mail to me (Shanna Simmons) or your child's teacher so we can provide you with this information.
